BBS and the power of Positive Reinforcement

03-May-07 By John Martin

This short story is about attempting Positive Reinforcement in a Behavioral Based Safety Process.  As you noticed I wrote ATTEMPTED because you have to take the time to know the person and what reinforces them. This is a key to the Positive Reinforcement Attempts.

When Observing the behavior or action that helps promote a positive safety outcome. positive reinforcement is needed.

What is reinforcing for someone is unique to each individual. from recognition in front of peers to a quiet thank you with no witness shows why attemping positive reinforcement can be a powerful part of any BBS process
